On the 19th April, AS LIII (2019) at Rowany Festival, Guildmaster William Forester de Blacwode did challenge Lord Seamus to test his mettle. The first form played was sword and rotella, of which Seamus won 4 passes to the guildmaster’s single win. The Iron Ring being secured, the challenge was then completed for honour’s sake, with Seamus taking 3 passes to the Guildmaster’s 2 in both sword and dagger and case of rapiers. On the 20th April, AS LIII (2019) at Rowany Festival, Master Gregory Tortouse de Sloleye did decide to challenge for the Iron Ring to reassert the pride of Innilgard’s fencing prowess. The first form fought was single rapier, of which Master Gregory only won a single pass to Lord Seamus’ 4 winning passes. Continuing for honour, Lord Seamus once again won the next form of Rapier and Cloak by 4 passes to Master Gregory’s single win. The final form was much more closely fought with Master Gregory taking 2 passes to Lord Seamus’ 3 wins. Lord Seamus was again acknowledged as the true bearer of the Iron Ring.
During the month of June, AS LIV (2019) Lord Seamus did journey to the Northern Reaches for the Great Northern War held over the 8th to 10th June. Did Wulfric Greycloak was the only fencer to issue challenge during the event, being in single rapier, rapier and dagger, and case of rapier. Wulfric fought hard with the first form finishing in a draw with a win each and 3 double hits. The second form went to Seamus with 3 win’s to Wulfric’s 2 wins. At November Crown Tourney, held on the 9th-10th November AS LIV (2019) in the Canton of Stowe on the Wowld, challenge was issued by Lord Mathias von Massenbach to play for the privilege of bearing the Iron Ring of Lochac. The first form was case of rapier was fought with honour and great skill, which progressed with a win each, and 2 double kills, and on the final pass Seamus did succeed in taking a 2nd win to claim the form. On the second form of rapier and dagger, this result did again repeat itself resulting in a tally of 2 double kills, 2 wins to Seamus, and a single win to Mathias. The final form of single rapier did see the pattern broken, resulting in a tied form with 3 double kills and a single win each. Seamus did thus just manage to keep the title of Ring Bearer in a very closely fought challenge.
Lord Seamus did then travel to the Barony of Politarchopolis, for the Fields of Gold event. On the 30th November AS LIV (2019) he did receive 3 challenges, those being Lord Ingvarr Karlsson from Mordenvale, Lord Mathias von Massenbach from the Canton of Stowe on the Wowld, and Samantha Blackburn of Mordenvale. As Seamus was only accepting two challenges that day, the three challengers did face off with single rapier, where by Lord Ingvarr won against both his opponents to earn the honour of being first challenger, and Lord Matthias won the honour of being second challenger.
The challenge by Lord Ingvarr was fought with single rapier, case of rapier and sword and buckler. The passes with single rapier resulted in 2 double kills, a single victory for Lord Ingvarr and 2 wins for Lord Seamus. The passes with case of rapier resulted in a double kill, and 2 victories each for Lord Ingvarr and Lord Seamus, leaving the form tied. The final form of sword and buckler also resulted in a tie, with one double kill, and 2 victories each for Lord Ingvarr and Lord Seamus. Lord Seamus did therefore retaining the title of Ring Bearer after this closely fought challenge.

In March of AS LIV (2020) the Crown did declare that all events within the Kingdom of Lochac were suspended for the duration, until the Great Plague had left the shores of Lochac. It was a time of hardship and woe for the Kingdom and no challenges were fought during this period. Great was the suffering within the Kingdom, and the Ring Bearer bade their time in quiet contemplation until it was safe to once again journey forth across the Kingdom to accept challenges.
In April of AS LVI (2022), news did travel forth that the time of solitude had been lifted by the Crown, and Lord Seamus Mac Thorsten, Bearer of the Iron Ring of Lochac did once more journey forth to take challenges upon the fields of Rowany Festival. On the 13th April AS LVI (2022), Lord Ingvarr Karlasson did issue challenge for the Iron Ring of Lochac, in the form of bouts with single rapier, rapier and buckler, and rapier and dagger. The first form was grimly fought, with the first four passes ending in a double kill, and Lord Seamus only securing the form on the final pass. The second form was also closely fought resulting in two wins to Lord Seamus and 3 double kills. The final form of rapier and dagger, was also well fought, ending in 3 wins to Lord Seamus and 2 double kills. The time of solitude did not appear to have dulled the skills of Lord Seamus, and he did continue to hold the Iron Ring of Lochac.
Unfortunately here ends the Chronicle of the Second Bearer of the Iron Ring. At Spring Crown Tourney in Innilgard on 25th September AS LVII (2022), Lord Seamus did return the Iron Ring of Lochac to the first Ring Bearer due to their ongoing health issues that prevented him from accepting challenges. Lord Seamus Mac Thorsten was given the silver start badge to denote his service as Ring Bearer, and best wishes given for his recovery.
Maestro ibn Jelal did thus become the 3rd bearer of the Iron Ring of Lochac.
The chronicle continues in the Journal of the Third Bearer of the Iron Ring of Lochac.
